There's an 8.3.0 in https://github.com/rvagg/rpi-newer-crosstools that's on all the machines/containers. I'm running a compile for a newer one but I don't think that's going to add anything as it's all the same versions of the toolchains (I thought there were newer ones available, but not so, at least via crosstools-ng). I think we should just merge this, cross our fingers and give it a go. We're still having issues with Pi3's falling offline but that's a separate problem and just causes throughput constraints on CI. I'm starting to think that might be an overheating problem that I need to solve physically. |

I was looking at this today and I think it's actually all in place, even in our CIs we have labels for this to work. It's just a matter of turning it on and trying it out ...
